Vintage Ideal Solid State Discoverer Treasure Detector Entex Industries #8210 Used Japan Some Damage You are buying the item pictured. In used condition with some damage. The damage is a broken piece on the battery caddy, the plastic piece holding the battery contacts is broken off, it is taped on and might be repairable with glue.  It turns on but does not detect anything. The unit takes 4 AAA batteries, not included. I used 4 batteries to test and with the tape repaired battery caddy, the red lamp turns on with the power switch (as pictured). The unit does not detect treasures, metal, or anything at all. The red light just stays on solid regardless of the sensitivity adjustment. It is in used condition, no other broken plastic noted. Includes the battery compartment cover as pictured, the tabs are all there. Includes the original instructions that includes the ‘treasure map’. The instructions are yellowed and folded, showing significant wear. The box, as pictured shows moderate wear, includes yellowing, staining, soiling, denting, one split corner on the lid.
